Overview

Alireza Salem, MD is an anatomical pathologist at the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology. He completed his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and his surgical pathology and breast pathology fellowship training at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) in Houston, Texas. 

Prior to his residency training, he accomplished his Medical Degree (MD) at Azad University in Tehran, Iran.

Dr. Salem has several articles published in peer-reviewed journals. His current research interest involves different types of breast cancers, their genomic and molecular underpinning, and their therapeutic vulnerabilities.
